Privacy Policy

My AI Master ("we", "us", "the app") is an AI-assisted goal, calendar and coaching companion built by Muhammed Can Özdemir. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the controls you have over it.

Data controller

Muhammed Can Özdemir, contactable at [email protected], is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect

Account data — name, email, and (if you choose Google sign-in) your Google account identifier, used to identify your account. Phone/WhatsApp number is collected only if you add it later.
Calendar data — with your explicit consent, we read your calendar's free/busy status only (never event titles, descriptions, or attendees) to schedule around your existing commitments.
Goals, tasks and coaching content — the text you enter about your goals, plans and reflections, and the messages you send to the in-app coach. Some of this content can resemble health or wellbeing information, so we treat all of it as sensitive data.
Usage analytics — with your consent, product usage events that help us understand which features are working.
Push notification tokens — device tokens used to deliver reminders and coaching nudges.

Consent and control

Phone/WhatsApp messaging, calendar access, analytics, and sharing with a third-party AI provider are each requested as separate, explicit permissions in the app — AI sharing is asked before any coach message or cloud plan parse is sent. Every consent is timestamped and can be revoked at any time from Settings. Revoking a permission stops the related data collection going forward. Only including this information here is not how we obtain permission: the in-app prompt is required before sharing.

How your data is used

Your data is used to personalize scheduling, generate coaching guidance, and send reminders.

Third-party AI (OpenAI). After you tap Allow, we send the text you type — goal titles, the optional “why this matters” note, and coach conversation messages plus the plan context needed to reply — to OpenAI so it can generate a plan breakdown and coach replies. We do not send your password, WhatsApp number, or calendar event titles, descriptions, or attendees. OpenAI processes that text under a data processing agreement and publishes its own privacy policy. You can turn this off in Settings → Privacy; the coach then stays off and new plans are built only from the details you entered, without a cloud model.

More sensitive behavioral analysis (pattern recognition, weekly review copy, and coach-memory extraction) is deliberately routed to a model we run ourselves rather than a third-party cloud service.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and sensitive fields — including stored credentials and phone numbers — are encrypted at rest. Backups are encrypted as well. Internally, engineers only ever access production data through a read-only replica.

Data retention and deletion

You can export a full copy of your data, or permanently delete your account, from Settings → Privacy inside the app. Deletion is a hard delete: it removes your account data and revokes your push notification token, WhatsApp number, calendar sync channel, and any connected OAuth tokens.

Children's privacy

My AI Master is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
